A Latin Music Icon: Grupo Utopia
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Grupo Utopia jumped into the Latin Music scene in 2005 with their debut at the Summerstage Festival in Duvall, WA.
This summer, Grupo Utopia had a blast at "Selena's Guadalajara" and "Babal˙ the Mambo Room" in Wallinford; "Spectators Sports & Grill" in Kent and, finished it at the Center House of the Seattle Center for the" Fiestas Patrias Celebration".
The band's latest performances blend Miguel A Munoz's dynamic voice and piano, with an expressive percussion section run by Ricardo Guity and Jeff Busch, seasoned with the rhythmic cadence of the bass of Jeff Norwood, all this balanced by the melodious direction of Patty Carrion on keyboards.
"When Utopia takes the stage, the rhythm is going to get you" - A fan quotes.
With the classic hits performed on stage, Grupo Utopia is essentially the soul of salsa music that you need on your next event.
It was fun and energetic. We thank to all our friends that made it to commemorate with us the Fiestas Patrias at the Seattle Center.
